Megiddo

Megiddo was the site of the ancient Armageddon and the name given to General Allenby’s victory of 18-20 September 1918. Regiments of the Anzac Mounted Division which had operated on the eastern flank across the Jordan river were awarded the battle honour “Megiddo” for their contribution to the victory.
